The corner version POINTS work very nicely on most, thin walled, rectangular boxes. And the Straight versions on all the rest, circular, etc.

--- The wide-slot markers are for the thicker walled rectangular boxes. It takes only 4 clips to mark whatever size box is used. However, most of the time, whether it’s a 1-gang, 2- gang box, etc, you need only 4 corner version markers for objects with square corners.

It’s dimensions are ~1/2 in. by 1/2 in. with the slot on the underside and a 1/4 in. tine on the top side.

---Once a POINTS Mark the Spot! corner version marker has been slipped onto each corner, the drywall is placed over the box(es) and positioned exactly where it is to be hung.

Tap firmly over each box site, then lay the sheet rock, etc on the floor. The four small indentations mark the area to be cutout (which can be done with a sharp utility knife, Roto-zip, etc.)

Please Note: If the object's edge thickness is too thick for a narrow-slot marker and a little too thin for the wide-slot marker, fold a scrap of paper over the edge. The wide-slot POINTS Mark the Spot! corner version marker should then fit snugly for you!
