The Chem/Bio Casualty Survival Cards™ are quick-reference/review cards intended for use by individuals at the front-line where the use of bulky textbooks is impractical. They are based on STP* 21-24-SMCT** (*Soldier Training Publication **Soldier’s Manual of Common Tasks), STP 21-1-SMCT and the handbooks of Medical Management of Biological Casualties and Medical Management of Chemical Casualties texts used by the DoD in training for biochemical threat agents. The 3.5”x 5.5” cards are laminated and have slots punched into the ends. Consistent color-coding is used for faster access. Frequent updates are planned to keep up with changing threats, detection methods, and treatments. Available in Civilian or Military versions. The Military cards are as follows:
Card #1
- Chemical agents and their Hazard Class
- Effects, time of onset, first aid (if possible), skin decon treatment modalities
- List of chemical agent detectors
- Footnoted glossary section to clarify terms for non-medical personnel.
- Triage synopsis for each type of agent.
Card #2
- Biological agents and their Hazard Class
- Schematic lay-out of a chem/bio decontamination area
- MOPP (Mission Oriented Protective Posture) info.
- Signs & signals used for biochemical hazards & threats
